Abstract

Data security and privacy protection remain hot topics in the IT field. Emerging encryption and data protection technologies are gradually replacing traditional defense methods, creating a safer information environment for both enterprises and users.

Traditional cybersecurity often relies on perimeter defenses such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems, which can be inadequate when facing data breaches and insider attacks. Emerging approaches—such as end-to-end encryption, multi-factor authentication, and distributed data protection schemes—enhance overall security by encrypting data throughout its lifecycle and enabling dynamic monitoring. Many European and Asian countries have begun incorporating these advanced technologies into their information security standards.

However, while these new technologies improve security, they may also increase system complexity and impact performance. In the future, with optimized encryption algorithms and security protocols and the integration of hardware acceleration, data protection systems are expected to become more robust without compromising system performance.
